I graduated RISD with a BFA in Graphic Design, but I often had classes with/TA'ed by MFA students so here are are my 2c: SCAD, from everything I've heard, is more of a practical-based curriculum that aims more to teach skills in how to create X, Y, and Z. Most of the other art schools you've mentioned (SAIC, Parsons, RISD) are definitely more. From a quick look at the Yale site, it seems it's just a bachelor of fine arts, with design courses but not a specific design focus, and then you can get an MFA in graphic design. So even with a master's and 6 years of education, that doesn't necessarily mean it's better than a design program which is entirely focused on design for 3-4 years.
